It definitely sounds like the game is trying to throw too many different things together but I'm more than happy to say that it works. I said almost because you can trigger slow motion when vaulting over covers and it does remind you of Max Payne a little bit. The shooting sections almost play out like in most cover-based third-person shooters. There are, of course, many more takedowns that will shock every other enemy in the fight and make them question their life choices. You can literally burn or electrocute your foes. Why did I mention The Punisher though? You can do some pretty brutal takedowns. You have your classic light and heavy kicks, grabs, and throws, but you can also unlock different combos which are pretty easy but cool to execute. Some side activities and story missions do include shooting sections though and you can even unlock some weapons later in the game but the main focus is on melee combat. Weapons in Hong Kong are scarce so most of the time you spend fighting with your bare fists and different melee weapons you come across. It's a mix of Arkham City, Max Payne 3, and The Punisher. "You look like you could use a pork bun!" It's hard not to spoil anything so let me say something cliché instead: Sleeping Dogs is a story of family, loyalty, duty, and betrayal. I've put LOTS of hours into this gem of a game! I originally finished the game on Xbox 360 but I've bought it FOUR times and have started many playthroughs on the original version on Steam, this version and on Xbox One as well so don't think I'm giving this game high praise after just playing for 15 hours. Definitely feels like a new game even 10 years after its Sleeping Dogs is one of the best open-world games ever made and it has aged The achievement pops after Teng's debriefing.A Man Who Never Eats Pork Buns, Is Never A Whole Man! Track down the apartment, travel to the gambling den and intentionally lose to the suspect, then follow his boat, enter his hideout, and after a brief shootout, rescue the girls. Start using this regularly to build up progress towards Reckless Driver. Notably, you get the High Roller Tuono out of this, which is a decent Class A car. Hotshot is similarly mandatory and involves quite a bit of racing. The first case is Popstar, and completing this case is mandatory to continue the story. ![]() These are a good source of Cop XP, so remember to take the right clothes to them.
